BiTSTREAM lets integrators and installers extend power to more edge devices like access control panels, locks, cameras and illuminators by leveraging the existing network cabling infrastructure to deliver connectivity with lower system deployment costs. The 8-port BTS500-8R network switch can power and pass data to PoE compliant devices and features network monitoring for remote management.
UL 294-listed BiTSTREAM meets the latest high-power PoE++ standard and incorporates a patented Single-Point Fire Interface (SFI) that initiates egress on fire alarms through a single fire alarm connection, minimizing field wiring. This feature is unique to BiTSTREAM and drops lock power to unlock doors when a fire event is detected and free egress is required for life safety.
Network monitoring for PoE outputs yields data on voltage, current, power measurements, battery and fault status and allows for power cycling remotely each network port. The BTS500 utilizes a universal AC input for seamless datacenter operation within a 1U 19” rack enclosure.
